First things first: If you are reading this, we love you already <3
And you are probably wondering, what is this all about?
Paskamer is a curatorial experiment, proudly stepping outside the sanitized air of the white cube. We offer a tiny stage where context is queen and spatial limits are embraced. It is a space to work, yes-but also to hang out, admire (and maybe envy) each other’s work, and break the ice over ideas you have been too precious about. We also welcome (with no rhyme or reason, of course): sweaty, heart-on-sleeve experiments, scraps of ideas barely holding it together, lingering love letters, and all the time you didn’t spend cleaning up your mess.
We would love for you to come, to get a sneak peek at what’s coming. And yes, we have guests: brilliant ones we can’t wait to show off like proud parents at a school play.
But before you arrive, we have a small task for you. You’ll get something from us too, don’t worry. Since we are keeping the event details under wraps, here’s a crossword puzzle: print it out (fancy printer optional) and grab your favorite pen. Answers will be revealed on the 12th, so come prepared! <3
With endless affection and minimal regard for order,
xoxo

Random Truths about Paskamer
Fact 1: Paskamer means “changing or fitting room” in Dutch.
Fact 2: The concept of changing rooms dates back to ancient Rome, where public bathhouses had designated areas for changing clothes. These spaces were often communal, and privacy wasn’t the luxury we know today. Public bathhouses were also social spaces, so changing rooms had a role in facilitating conversation and community interaction.
Fact 3: Did you know? In the 1920s, luxury stores had changing rooms with adjustable lighting, so shoppers could see their outfits under daylight, candlelight, or ballroom lighting; because, of course, it was never just about trying on clothes: it was about imagining the moment.

tape and less sense.

Like Bauhaus on a sugar high, colliding with a 90s rave while
someone recites poetry backwards.

Part performance art, part existential crisis, and
a little too much glitter.

Paskamer is what happens when you leave artists alone in a room
with no WiFi and far too much cardboard.
It’s beautiful and terrifying.

Paskamer is where imagination gets lost, found, and
occasionally set on fire.
