About
Paskamer is an artist-run space, founded out of friendship and a shared interest in community building and time based and performative exhibition formats. Working outside the traditional white cube, Paskamer embraces the limits of its 30m² studio, where a blue-grey curtain with pink pom-poms creates both atmosphere and structure for shows and events. Work is shared across all levels, with Paskamer members taking on support roles as interns, builders, and collaborators. Authorship is shared (blurred), and the exhibition becomes a site to test collective ways of working, showing, and being together.

REC-S*
*REC-S is Paskamer’s fictional character and recording device. It observes the space (from daily activity to exhibitions) hiding behind a cute and goofy appearance that quietly questions the comfort with being watched.

Activities
Paskamer is a small, flexible space for making, hosting, and exchanging.
Inside, it offers temporary setups for exhibitions, a one-month residency for invited guests, small gatherings, and access to its own printing tools.
Outside, Paskamer sometimes grows into larger set designs, turning
small-scale working conditions into ambitious and playful spaces.

Themes
Across its various endeavors, Paskamer is drawn to finding alternative narratives within pop culture and fast-consuming media, looking for ways to reveal layers of depth in the superficial and question what is usually taken for granted.
The Gift (Year 2024/2025)
The current focus, The Gift, explores what remains of generosity under late capitalism. Projects revolve around gifting rituals, exchange economies, and the blurred politics of giving and taking.
