Rec-s /Rex/ [reporting live]:

Four weeks into our first residency, and it’s officially Fabio Salvadori Season. The studio smells like pizza, there are cardboard chips scattered about, and some cool music is playing.

All in all, it’s been a really good month.

When I first met Fabio in the studio, the first thing he said was,
CIAO BELLA! Since then, we’ve been friends at first sight.

Fabio’s illustrations are incredibly detailed, and capture situations
and actions that many of us joke about, or even get annoyed by.
But rarely do we come together to see them so fully represented.

There are always three sides to every story: your side, my side, and
the truth. And I think Fabio’s work with Paskamer plays right into this.
But how does this old formula stand up when the weight of tradition
tries to control the narrative?

The magical and miniature elements in Fabio’s work (almost like a role-playing game) show how everyday actions, especially those tied to food and tradition, become second nature. For Fabio, it’s about how we build identities through what we eat and how we share it.

Culinary heritage is a gift, bringing people together. Sometimes it comes with unsolicited advice: You’re eating it wrong, or That’s not how it’s supposed to be. We have all heard it. Well-meaning, yet misplaced.
So, how do we carve out new traditions? How does context shift things?

For the event, we want you to join us and share in a feast that’s a little outside the box. We’re mixing things up, and let’s see what happens.

Hope you have some really refined taste buds because this
is going to be a chic experience.
